Campus Missionary

Lainee was involved with Christian Challenge as a student and began serving in 1996 as a campus missionary at Northern Arizona University. In 2015, adding to her role as an on-campus missionary, Lainee became the Communications Specialist and Missions Coordinator for Christian Challenge AZ. In her communication role, Lainee is responsible for telling the story of Christian Challenge Az with local, national and international partners. As Missions Coordinator, Lainee works to foster a culture of missions among college students and Christian Challenge AZ chapters around the state. Having served for many years in overseas and cross cultural missions experiences herself, missions is a passion of her life. Lainee lives in Flagstaff AZ, the home of Christian Challenge AZ’s state office.

Campus Missionary

Maya was involved with Christian Challenge as a student at Northern Arizona University and began serving as a campus missionary there in 2021. In addition to working on the college campus, she also works as the Administrative Assistant for the Christian Challenge AZ state team. Maya received her bachelor’s from Northern Arizona University and currently lives in Flagstaff, AZ, the home of the Christian Challenge state office.

Kyle first served with Christian Challenge from 2007-2015.  During this time he helped to start new ministry chapters at ASU West and Glendale Community College, while also serving at Estrella Mountain Community College.  After serving as an associate pastor, Kyle returned to serve with Challenge again in 2020.  He currently serves in the roles of both regional catalyst and campus missionary at Northern Arizona University.  Kyle is passionate about making disciples among college students and making the holiness and joy of Jesus known to everyone.  He holds degrees from Arizona State University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  He and his wife Mallery live in Flagstaff with their six children – Natalia, Ty, Nathan, Eli, Jase, and Macy.  In his free time, you are likely to find Kyle distance running or hiking a remote mountain trail.

Abby recently graduated from Northern Arizona University with degrees in Chemistry and Criminology & Criminal Justice. She was involved in Christian Challenge throughout her whole college career. After serving as the Christian Challenge NAU apprentice in her last semester of college, she transitioned to serving as a Challenge Church Volunteer.

Micah Abe

Micah was involved with Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. After graduating with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science, Micah served on a mission team to Arizona to work with Challenge NAU. He moved to Arizona and is currently in graduate school for Physical Therapy and attends Challenge Church, the partnering church for Challenge NAU. He serves as a Challenge Church Volunteer for Challenge NAU.
